Artist Statement

As a Documentary Photographer, I photograph weddings, casual family portraits and pregnancies. My approach is one that focuses on the details of the day’s events and reveals the personalities of the people involved. Time becomes unrecognizable during such important events as your wedding day or the birth of a new baby. It escapes us either by stopping completely or by moving so fast we cannot account for it. Capturing these moments though photography is a challenge, but it does allow us to observe for more than just a moment the spirit of the special event that took place. My hope is to enable individuals to look back on their story and relive the moment while sharing it with future generations.
